Assigning jobs to a crew member
When your business has more than one team member, every job can be assigned to a specific person. Unassigned jobs are visible to everyone.
On a new job
The ASSIGN TO section appears between Items and Deposit on the New Job form. Defaults to you (the creator). Tap to pick another team member or Unassigned.
This section is hidden for solo businesses — if you're the only member, you won't see it.
On an existing job
Open a job and tap Edit in the menu. The Assign To section is between Items and Notes. Change who it's assigned to and tap Save.
You can also tap Reassign directly from the ASSIGNED TO card on the job detail screen.
Who can assign what
- Members can assign jobs to themselves only.
- Owners and admins can assign jobs to anyone on the team.
What happens when a job is assigned
- The assigned member gets a push notification: "Job assigned to you".
- Customer confirmation pushes and customer reply pushes go to the assignee (and also the owner+admins).
- The assigned member's avatar/colour shows on the job detail and on the assigned-to card.
- If the assigned member is removed from the team, their jobs automatically become unassigned.
